Our client, a boutique law firm in Lakewood has an immediate opening for a part-time (3 days/week) Temporary Legal Assistant to provide coverage for several months while a permanent employee is on medical leave. The firm specializes in civil litigation and appeals, real estate, business law, and estate planning.

Schedule: Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (100% onsite)

Expected Duration: 3-4 months

The selected candidate will train alongside their permanent Legal Assistant prior to the leave and will provide coverage and direct attorney support during her absence. The objective is to ensure uninterrupted workflow, deadline management, and consistent client service.

Core Responsibilities

• Train with and support the Legal Assistant in preparation for leave
• Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys
• E-file pleadings and court documents through Colorado Courts e-Filing
• Coordinate service of process and related affidavits
• Support real estate matters, including document preparation and occasional electronic recording (e.g., Simplifile)
• Prepare estate planning and related legal documents
• Track deadlines and support attorney calendars
• Enter attorney time into TABS3 (training provided)
• Maintain organized electronic and physical files

Qualifications/Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a legal assistant in a law firm setting (3+ years preferred)
• Experience with Colorado Courts e-Filing is required
• Ability to work fully onsite in Lakewood, CO
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Comfortable working in a small, close-knit office environment with shared responsibilities
• Flexible, receptive to direction, and able to coordinate workflow with other team members
• Experience with TABS3 helpful but not required

Pay Range: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour.
